Recently, a vineyard that is said to have been given to Leonardo by Ludovico Sforza as a reward for the Last Supper has become a new tourist attraction in Milan.
It is unclear on what basis it is actually determined to be Leonardo's vineyard, and upon closer investigation, it may be possible that the place has no connection to Leonardo at all. (In Leonardo's description, the vineyard measures 175m x 59m, which is too small to fit in the courtyard of a nobleman's mansion.) However, that doesn't matter, as long as you can enjoy the atmosphere, it is enough, and it is one of the places you would want to visit at least once.
It is conveniently located right next to the Church of Santa Maria delle Gratie, where the Last Supper is painted. The important vineyard is not yet grown enough to be worth admiring because it has not been there for very long, but the surrounding buildings are charming as they were nobleman's mansions, and there is an atmosphere that seems like it would be enjoyable enough. There also seems to be a cafe on site, making it the perfect place to soak in the afterglow after visiting the Last Supper.
Previously, there was no such relaxing place to rest around Santa Maria delle Gratie, and you had to leave quickly after viewing the Last Supper, so it's enviable that the environment has been improved so much compared to before.
I really hope that the grapes in this vineyard will grow big and become a new tourist spot in Milan.
